View Thumbnail Charts

Thumbnail charts enable you to simultaneously view the performance of multiple objects.

Procedure

1	Select an inventory object (such as a host) that contains other objects (such as virtual machines).

2	Select the Performance tab.

By default, charts are displayed for two child objects at one time.

3	In View, select the object for which you want to view the thumbnail charts.

4	If there are more than two child objects, use the Thumbnails navigation buttons to view the additional object charts, or click All to view all charts at once.

Note

You may have to scroll right in the Performance tab to see the Thumbnail navigation buttons. If there are more than 20 child objects, the All button is not available. In such cases, you must use the navigation buttons to view the thumbnail charts.

 

5	(Optional) To open the main charts for an object in the thumbnail section, click the object's name at the top of the chart group. This selects the object in the inventory and displays the information panels for the object.

Note

On the Resource Pools and Virtual Machines view for clusters and resource pools, if you click the link for a fault tolerant secondary virtual machine, the primary virtual machine is selected in the inventory. This is because secondary virtual machines do not get displayed in the inventory.
